Frequently Asked Questions

Are you accepting patients?

My practice is currently full, however I keep an active waitlist. Please call to inquire.

What is your availability?

I meet with patients and families 5 days a week.

What is the intake evaluation or consultation like?

The intake diagnostic evaluation consists of 2 or 3 hour-long sessions. This evaluation serves as a consultation and includes a comprehensive assessment and review of your history. Following the intake, I will discuss with you (and/or your family if you choose) diagnostic impressions and treatment options. These options may or may not include care and treatment with me. If I cannot meet your needs, I will make every effort to refer care to another specialist or program for targeted treatment.

The medication consultation is a more focused evaluation, lasting 90 - 120 minutes, of your current symptoms/diagnoses and how medications may or may not be helpful in your treatment. Medication consultations are always done in close collaboration with a referring therapist or neuropsychologist.

Do you see patients for therapy, medication management, or both?

Both. Throughout residency and fellowship, I have had extensive training in evidence-based medications, psychotherapies, and combination treatments. If you have a therapist already, I can work closely with that individual while starting, adjusting, and monitoring medications.

Do you take insurance?

No. I am an out-of-network psychiatrist, and I do not participate in insurance plans. Due to the strict limitations on mental health care set by many insurance companies, I believe that I can spend more time delivering high-quality, individualized, patient-centered care by practicing out-of-network.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept cash, check, and credit card (including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express).

Are you available for second-opinions?

Yes.

In which states are you licensed to practice?

I am licensed to practice in New York, Connecticut, and Florida.

Where is your office?

My New York office is on the 32nd floor of The Chanin Building, located at the intersection of East 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.

My Connecticut office is located at 3 West End Avenue, just off Sound Beach Avenue in Old Greenwich, CT.

Are you available by Tele-Psychiatry?

Yes. I can meet with NY, CT, and FL-based patients virtually via HIPAA-compliant tele/video platforms.

Are you available for in-person appointments?

Yes. I offer in-person appointments in both New York City and Greenwich, CT.
